According to AZ Central, Kari Lake of Fox 10 News will be leaving the Phoenix-based program after 22 years. Lake went to Twitter in March, explaining the reasoning behind her departure. She did not like the way journalism has changed during her career and does not like the direction it is going. Lake said in a Rumble video, “Journalism has changed a lot since I first stepped into a newsroom…I don’t like the direction it is going…I’m sure there are other journalists out there who feel the same way.”
Lake explained that the, “media needs more balance in coverage and a wider range of viewpoints represented in every newsroom at every level and at each position. In the last few years I haven’t felt proud to be a member of the media.” Lake has had an impressive track record but has faced lots of controversies over the past few years. Lake faced scrutiny for defending Presidents Trump after he was suspended form Twitter saying, “The purge of the President and many others on Twitter, FB and other social media accounts is disturbing. [The] First Amendment is under attack”.

Lake also received heat when she posted a now-deleted video on Covid-19, which claimed our immune systems are being weakened by staying home to protect ourselves from Covid-19.
One of the most HONEST COVID-19 briefings I’ve seen to date. This front-line doc says we are WEAKENING our immune systems by staying in. Dr. Dan Erickson discusses real data w/no political filter. Watch to very end. https://t.co/dtbEaE8L5g

Arizona State Senator Wendy Rogers announced her support and encouragement of Lake yesterday. Rogers posted photos of her with Lake on Facebook and described how she was proud of Lake and believes she has a bright future. Yesterday, Rogers and Lake spoke at “America’s Comeback Tour”, an event led by the founder of the Brexit party, Nigel Farage.
Senator Rogers has a history of supporting figures like Lake that some may identify as being dissident or extreme. Rogers pushed for a full 2020 election audit in the state of Arizona last week and is fighting to prevent federal interference in the audit. She also pleased many of her constituents by declaring all gun stores as “essential” businesses after the majority of Arizona Senate passed a bill saying otherwise. Unlike many so-called RINO’s (Republicans in name only), Rogers has supported an immigration moratorium, voter ID requirements for elections, the preservation of historical monuments and the upholding of election integrity.
