Arizona Senate Passes Three Election Integrity Bills, Will Provide ‘Proper Checks and Balances’

This evening the Arizona State Senate passed multiple bills focused on election integrity which would look to prevent alleged voter fraud in the state thus ensuring more confidence in the elections. Below is Freshman Arizona State Senator Wendy Roger’s (R) tweet.

“The Arizona Senate is leading the way. We have passed 3 #ElectionIntegrity bills & we are providing the proper checks & balances on Maricopa County by conducting a forensic audit. We will keep at it until our citizens have faith in their elections again & until we have answers.”

Most of these bills have had 16-14 votes with Senators voting the part line causing these bills to pass by a slim margin. Republicans have just a one-seat majority over the Democrats in the Arizona State Senate.

Rogers commented on Twitter following the passage of SB1241 and described saying it, “ensures that all voting machines provide a paper receipt that states whether the vote was tabulated or rejected at the time of the vote.”

SB1106 which was passed was described by Rogers saying it makes it a “class 6 felony to register to vote and vote in an election without an intent to remain.”

This comes after some suggested that people moved to Georgia just to vote in the Senate-runoff elections though no evidence was shown. This bill would try to prevent that from happening in Arizona.

SB1240 was passed with Rogers describing it saying it, “forces the counting to be done by precinct. No more county-level shenanigans pushed on us by Zuckerberg!” This makes counting ballots much more local.

SB1613 also passed the Senate. This bill Requires all election equipment to be made in America and prohibits election data or results from being transferred, transmitted or stored in any other country. Rogers called this one a “No brainer”

Arizona is leading the way with the help of Senator Wendy Rogers to bring election integrity to the state.
