Biological Mom Outraged it took FBI Over 15 Months to Arrest CNN Producer who Allegedly Abused Her 9-Year-Old

We previously reported on John Griffin, a CNN producer who was recently arrested on December 10th. More information since his arrest has come out. The 9-year-old traveled with her adoptive mother to Griffin’s Vermont chalet, where Griffin and the adoptive mother allegedly forced her to perform sex acts with them in July of 2020.

The biological mother of the 9-year-old, Catherine, 38 told Fox News, “I have lost hope in the system completely. The fact that they knew this man, what he was, and what he did to her, and they did nothing for a year and a half, is mind-blowing. I want to know why they waited. Why did they put my little girl on the back burner?”

After the trip to Vermont, Catherine had her daughter for an overnight visit, she was unable to reach the adoptive mother when it was time to bring her daughter back. She used her daughter’s phone to log on to the adoptive mother’s social media and this is where she discovered disturbing messages between the adoptive mother and Griffin, including messages about the trip to Vermont.

There were also inappropriate messages from Griffin to the 9-year-old on the phone as well. She called Griffin and told him, “don’t ever call this f—king phone again”.

After this Catherine refused to return her daughter, this led the adoptive mother to call the police which ended up backfiring on her. Catherine said the police called her and she told them, “You’re going to want to come over and see this”.

The 9-year-old told police what her adoptive mother and Griffin did to her.

According to Fox News, “The adoptive mom was arrested Aug. 21, 2020, on five counts of child abuse, eight counts of lewdness with a minor under 14 and two counts of sexual assault of a minor under 14.

She was released on a $25,000 bond to house arrest but allegedly violated her bail terms and landed back in jail, court records show. The child was turned over to her grandmother, Catherine’s mom.”

Henderson Nevada police alerted police in Vermont to Griffin’s involvement and Cathrine turned over a thumb drive of all the information from her daughter’s phone to the FBI.

After the adoptive mother’s arrest, the FBI seized Griffin’s electronic devices, including computers, phones, cameras and microSD cards according to court papers.

The child is currently with Catherine’s mom and she sees her as much as she can.

Griffin has pleaded not guilty to one count of child sex trafficking and two counts of attempted child sex trafficking in the U.S. District Court in Vermont. He is currently being held without bail.

This was not the only child involved in this case as records show. Griffin attempted to lure two other mothers and their daughters on BDSM websites to his chalet for “sexual subservient” training. He has claimed to have trained girls as young as 7 saying, “a woman is a woman regardless of her age.”
