Brian Stelter Asks Where are the Fox News Vaccine Selfies as CNN Ratings Plummet

As we reported in March, the ratings of CNN are plummeting downwards nearly 50% in the post-Trump era.

Fox News reported this on CNN:

CNN’s viewership during the primetime hours of 8-11 p.m. ET dropped 36% since Biden took office after it spiked following Election Day. CNN’s primetime viewership decline was even sharper among the key demographic of adults aged 25-to-54, plummeting 47% during the same period.

CNN’s viewership also suffered among the total day audience since Trump left office, leaving the liberal network without its bête noire.

CNN averaged 1.7 million viewers from Nov. 4 through Jan. 20, but it dropped to 1.1 million since Biden took office for a 34% fall. During the same period, CNN shed 44% of its total day viewers among the key demo, dropping from an average of 483,000 to only 272,000.

As the ratings of CNN continue to dwindle they have shifted from a anti-Trump viewpoint to a anti-Fox News platform. Monday morning, CNN’s Brian Stelter alongside Media Matters fellow, Matt Gertz, accused Fox News hosts of downplaying the effectiveness of the Covid-19 vaccine. Gertz and Stelter hinted that these hosts’ major influence will lead to the death of Fox’s very own viewers.

“When, instead of telling your viewers…go get the shot, it’s in your interest, it is incredibly effective, it’ll get us back to normal, they are raising questions about its effectiveness, raising questions about whether it is dangerous…that does a lot of damage! Steve Doocey should get vaccinated live on Fox and Friends. It would save the lives of his viewers!” said Gertz.

Stelter was adamant that Fox News’ hosts should have been posting photos of them receiving the vaccine, or selfies with their vaccine cards months ago: “It should have happened in February. It’s April! Where are they!?”.

Stelter believes that Fox News holds a unique responsibility to promote the vaccine towards its viewers, especially after Fox News has consistently labeled CNN and other mainstream media outlets as untrustworthy.

“So I say all of that to make the following point: Where are Tucker and Sean Hannity and Laura Ingraham? Where is Ainsley Earhardt and Steve Doocy and Brian Kilmeade, where are the biggest stars on Fox getting vaccinated?” Stelter asked.
