Country star Jason Aldean’s publicist, who he has been with for the past 17 years, has dropped the artist after comments his wife, Brittany Aldean, made stirred up “controversy” and her comments were labeled as transphobic.
“Music has always been and remains The GreenRoom’s core focus, so we had to make the difficult decision after 17 years to step away from representing Jason. We aren’t the best people for the gig anymore, but will always be big fans of his music — he is one of the greatest live entertainers in country music,” Tyne Parrish co-owner of GreenRoom told Billboard.
While GreenRoom didn’t cite Brittany’s comments as the reason behind their departure after 17 years it seems very likely that was the final straw for them.
Brittany shared a video of herself on Instagram putting on makeup captioned, “I’d really like to thank my parents for not changing my gender when I went through my tomboy phase. I love this girly life”
Cassadee Pope and Maven Morris brought out their claws out on Twitter to attack Brittany for her comment.
“You’d think celebs with beauty brands would see the positives in including LGBTQ+ people in their messaging. But instead, here we are, hearing someone compare their “tomboy phase” to someone wanting to transition. Real nice,” Pope shared
Morris replied, “It’s so easy to, like, not be a scumbag human? Sell your clip-ins and zip it, Insurrection Barbie.”

While Brittany has said her comments were “taken out of context,” she is also battling it out on social media with Pope.

Advocating for the genital mutilation of children under the disguise of love and calling it “Gender Affirming Care,” is one of the worst evils. I will always support my children and do what I can to protect their innocence The other day Memphis wanted to be called a dinosaur and tomorrow Navy will want to be called a cat, they’re children. Some parents want to be accepted by society so badly. That they’re willing to make life-altering decisions for their children who aren’t old enough to fully comprehend the consequences of those actions. Love is protecting your child until they are mature enough as an adult to make their own life decisions. Thankful my parents allowed me to go through my tom boy phase without changing my gender. Until then, Leave Children Alone!”
The change in society regarding transgender children has come fast and hard. Many people are alarmed by the way the country has moved to handle these children.
Boston’s children’s hospital received a massive backlash after a video on gender-affirming care was released about hysterectomies and alarmed many that the hospital may be performing these surgeries on children, the hospital has denied this.
This issue is something people on both sides feel very passionate about.
