It seems many people have decided to run for office as “Trump supporters”, looking to primary so-called “RINOs”. Yes, in the eyes of many in Trump’s base, “RINOs” do need to be primaried, especially the anti-Trump ones. But is simply “supporting Trump” an actual platform?
Well, it depends. It can be for those who support Trump’s base who got him elected in 2016 over Hillary Clinton and 17 Republicans. But just saying “I support Trump” isn’t a platform. Claiming to be “tough on immigration” while simultaneously peddling nearly unlimited “legal” immigration in the name of supporting big business is not really an improvement over someone like U.S. Rep Adam Kinzinger (R-IL).
It seems that what many have dubbed the “Conservative Inc” candidate machine is at it again with Catalina Lauf. She is running against Kinzinger but aside from her support for Trump in theory only, she doesn’t seem to be very “America First” in a traditional sense. Lauf it seems is mostly concerned with “free markets” and helping big businesses get lower tax rates (not necessarily a bad thing) than preserving American history, culture, and tradition.
Immigration hardliner and America First Joshua Foxworth, Candidate for Congress in Texas has attempted to expose Lauf on Twitter, and is offering to debate her as well.
“Hey. @CatalinaLauf . I will debate you on immigration as well as policies for health care, student debt, foreign aid, etc. Bring it on, @KillstreamLive or anywhere else. We will see who are the real America First candidates and who has solutions or just fluff talk.”

We will see who are the real America First candidates and who has solutions or just fluff talk.
At one point in a bizarre Twitter exchange, Lauf claims people like Foxworth are why Democrats call Republicans racist, something she’s afraid to be called apparently. Although we here at Media Right News don’t support discrimination against anyone based on race, we know darn well that the left calls anyone to the right of U.S. Senator Mitt Romney (R-UT) racist it seems like. Being afraid of being called names seems like “weak sauce” to us.
“We’re a nation of legal immigrants & just like Germans, Italians, Greeks, etc. I’m proud of who I am & where my family came from. Just ate Guatemalan-style black beans for breakfast, does that trigger you?” says Lauf to Foxworth.
She went on, “YOU push the left’s false narrative that Republicans are racist.” This is in response to Foxworth stating in so many words that both legal and illegal immigration must be talked about as problematic under a true America First platform.
This is the state of the GOP today. There is no policy, there is no substance, there are no principles – especially on immigration.

Lauf later retweeted “Gabriella Hoffman”, who says that supporting legal immigration, which has been statistically proven to help Democrats gain more votes according to Pew Research as we’ve cited many times in other stories, is not the same as amnesty. She then goes on to say “Trump’s gains were with Hispanics who came here legally from Central/South America. This is NOT the hill to die on.”
No mention about immigration voting statistics nationally though was done in that tweet, let alone the fact that too much immigration in a short period of time can cause a cultural disruption to any nation, as only so many people, in our view, can be assimilated to American culture, at any given time. This support for unfettered legal immigration is not what Trump’s base is about, and just uttering the words “I like Trump” doesn’t make you a Trump supporter in our view.
Trying to beat the left at their own game by being more and more like them is a continuing trend from “new Republicans” trying to grift off of Donald Trump’s popularity. She went on to insult Foxworth as “not being serious” because he’s not part of the ConInc grift machine and doesn’t have unlimited amounts of money at his disposal.
“That data tells me you are not a serious candidate and are doing this for attention. That’s the ultimate disrespect to our Founders. There are serious issues happening in our Country right now, this is not an endeavor to take on lightly. If you want to step up, show up.” she said in response to Foxworth’s comment saying,
“I spent less than $15,000 and for 14.6%. The guy one district over spent hundreds of thousands and got less. Next time, I’ll be raising money. I guess this mantra you give in your speeches urging people to get out and try to affect change is just another platitude?”
Insults and platitudes, again.

What are your positions on immigration, anchor babies, higher education, censorship online, health care, student debt, SS, or anything? Do you have a single policy you want to implement? A single plan?
Your opponent does.
Foxworth went on to say:
“Insults and platitudes, again. What are your positions on immigration, anchor babies, higher education, censorship online, health care, student debt, SS, or anything? Do you have a single policy you want to implement? A single plan? Your opponent does.”
He then went on in a response to activist Scott Presler’s tweet:
“If you want to know what it means to attack someone for their heritage, it’s placing you race on your profile and asserting that this qualifies you for office over those bland White guys with policies.”

Pete D’Abrosca, never one to mince words chimed in:
“Josh spent $15,000 for more than 8,000 votes, or about $.59/vote in his last primary. You spent $344,000 for 10,400 votes, or $33.70/vote in your last primary. Sounds like you’re wasting GOP donor dollars like the grifter you are. Pathetic.”

James Marter and Jack Lombardi are also running for the Illinois seat as well. A recent tweet from Marter shows he supports Ron DeSantis, Florida’s Republican Governor, in standing up to Joe Biden’s vaccine passport plan.

Marter’s site states:
I will secure the border, support Immigration limits and reform, including blocking immigrants from terrorist states, eliminate sanctuary cities, cut spending and “Big” government, in Washington.
I am a conservative, pro-Trump Republican who’s “all in” to unseat the woke and radical, anti-Republican, Adam Kinzinger, who voted to impeach President Trump. Together WE can restore the Republican Party and bring REAL leadership to Congress!
I’m a leader you can Trust, with global experience in international business and manufacturing. I am an entrepreneur and small business owner who meets with workers on the factory line, in warehouses, labs, and meets with executives in the boardroom.
LIFE, Religious Liberty to worship freely, faith in God, fellowship, & family are the most important things to me. My beautiful wife Jill and I have been married 34 years, we are blessed with our four children and our first granddaughter! I’ve served my communities more than 25 years as a Scout Leader, an age-group swimming coach, & a youth basketball coach. I’ve served as a precinct committeeman and Republican Party Chairman of Kendall County working hard for many Republicans.
As Congressman, I will be relentless in the pursuit of cutting the size and scope of government, while eliminating waste, fraud, and abuse. Why? To stop Washington D.C. from taking your money so you can keep the fruits of your labor, you worked hard to earn! I’m fighting to defend our Conservative values, our Pro-Growth and Pro-America agenda to Keep America Great. I am asking for your VOTE.
Lombardi also claims to be a hardline immigration hawk as well. He recently tweeted:
“Massive increases in illegal immigration is flooding the country with more population that does not fit our traditional culture. It is a deliberate plan to change traditional culture and introduce more voters from socialist cultures. We must end it.”

Time will tell if Republicans notice what is really going on with Lauf, or if the amount of money being pumped into her Hollywood-style campaign will be enough to push her into the top spot to run against anti-Trump Kinzinger. Other prominent Republicans and even Tucker Carlson have called for an immigration moratorium.
These calls have recently been bolstered by the Covid-19 pandemic and the Biden border crisis, although some Republicans and almost all Democrats have remained tone-deaf on the issue.
This is not a view that is outside of the mainstream, although Lauf seems more concerned with triggering people about Guatemalan beans than actually listening to what people on the right and Americans really want.
