Chicago Police Officers Surprise Children Using Milk Crates with New Basketball Hoop

After seeing a group of Chicago children playing basketball with a milk crate, local police officers surprised the children with a new basketball hoop and even played with them.

A large group of police officers got together to purchase a basketball goal, basketballs and helped set up the hoop for the children.

A video posted by Chicago Police Superintendent David O. Brown shows the children beaming with excitement as the officers began setting up the goal and started playing basketball with the young boys. One boy yelled, “thank you!” and another was seen jumping with excitement, high-fiving an officer.

The Gresham District Commander Señor Brown voiced her support for the kind act, saying, “we love to see the joy end smiles we bring to our youth.”

Stories like this prove that not all police officers are bad and serves as a reminder that everyone, even public workers, are humans with hearts.
