Texas Republican Congressman Chip Roy demanded that Joe Biden’s Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas be impeached over the U.S. border crisis.
“JUST IN — Texas Rep. Chip Roy has formally asked all House Republicans ‘to uniformly and publicly support impeaching’ DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas ‘for fundamentally refusing to secure the Southern border and endangering American lives in the process.’ “

Roy wrote, “While the world’s attention has been directed toward Ukraine, the border of the United States is more dangerous, broken, and unsecure than ever. It demands our immediate attention and collective call for the impeachment of the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, Alejandro Nicholas Mayorkas.”
He continued, “Impeaching Secretary Mayorkas is our duty. We should call for it now – despite Democrat control of the House – and make the case for immediate border security better than any speeches we can give or bills we can introduce.”
Later in the letter, Roy blamed Mayorkas for the deaths of Americans, “His actions have resulted in the death and endangerment of Americans, damage to property and communities across the border, loss of operational control of our border to dangerous cartels imprisoning thousands of migrants sold into human trafficking, and the fueling of deadly drug poisonings of thousands of Americans.”
This all comes as we previously reported, “According to the fiscal year 2021 report released Friday, deportations of illegal immigrants by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) plunged to their lowest level in 26 years amid the ongoing crisis at the US-Mexico border.
ICE said it had removed 59,011 “noncitizens” from the US over the 12 months that ended Sept. 30, 2021.
That amount is down more than threefold from the 185,884 “aliens” deported in the fiscal year 2020 –and the lowest number since the fiscal year 1995.“
While deportations are at record lows, the Biden administration, enabled by Mayorkas, is allowing thousands of illegal immigrations to pass into the United States. In our view, Americans who are legally living near the southern border are seeing first hand, the weakness of Biden’s border policy.
While there is a bipartisan effort to do whatever the U.S. can to protect Ukraine’s border, even if it involves war, there have been mostly crickets coming from Congress in regards to securing the U.S. southern border. This has propelled some on the right to demand that Americans be put first.
