Pennsylvania State Senator and Pro-Trump Republican Doug Mastriano (R-PA) has officially endorsed Teddy Daniels for his expected upcoming Congressional run in 2022.
A Facebook post from Daniels showcases Mastriano’s endorsement, “I wish to thank Teddy for being willing to continue to serve our nation. The world of politics is messy, and we face opponents willing to lie, cheat, and steal their way to power. We need people like Teddy willing to stand for the people of our state. As a wounded veteran and a purple heart recipient, Teddy has put his life on the line for our great country, and I appreciate his service. Teddy is an American hero and has given much to this nation. Teddy has my full support and endorsement in his run for Congress.”
Mastriano has been a vocal supporter of former President Donald Trump, the America first agenda, and help Trump trying to prove alleged voter fraud did occur in the state of Pennsylvania. Now he has thrown his support in for anti-establishment Republican Teddy Daniels.
Purple Heart veteran Teddy Daniels ran in 2020 for Pennsylvania’s 8th district but lost in the Republican Party primary by just 2,800 votes.
During that run, Daniels received endorsements from FreedomWorks for America, National Association for Gun Rights, Pennsylvania Bikers for Trump, Tea Party Nation, and Vets for Trump.
This time around Daniels seeks to win the primary and win the 8th congressional district seat from Democratic U.S. Representative Matt Cartwright who only won the seat by just 3.5 points in 2020.
With an expected Red wave in the 2022 midterms, Daniels looks to make a comeback and win the district which would be a huge win for the America First movement.
It appears the only reason Jim Bognet won the GOP primary for the district is that he used to work in former President Trump’s administration which seemingly gave him an edge.
However, since he was unable to get ahold of the seat and with the endorsement of Doug Mastriano, Teddy Daniels could possibly be the man for the job.
We will have to see if Daniels is able to flip this seat come November of 2022 where Republicans seek to take back the House.
