Leftist and Former George Costanza Actor Throws fit, will Quit Tweeting if Musk Takes Away his Free Blue Check

Adding his name to the temper tantrum list, Jason Alexander made sure to announce that once his blue checkmark is gone he will be too.

Alexander tweeted, “Friends, there are bigger issues in the [world emoji] than the blue verified [checkmark emoji] next to my name on this account. But without it, anyone can allege to be me. So, if I lose that [checkmark] know I will leave this platform. Anyone appearing with it=an imposter. I tell you this while I’m still official.”

April 1st is the deadline for verified accounts to have paid for a subscription to keep their blue checkmarks. This news has “legacy” blue checkmark accounts in a frenzy as they didn’t have to pay for the checkmark before.

When Elon Musk took over Twitter in 2022 he announced he was making changes to the social media giant. One change was to make blue checkmarks attainable for all. Twitter Blue is available to all accounts for a monthly fee.

This change isn’t sitting well with many celebrities. William Shatner felt he should be paid for all the time he’s spent on Twitter. Lebron James moped over the impending loss. Many others have already jumped ship or have threatened to.

April will bring changes to Twitter.

Some speculation exists that an April fools joke may be afoot. However, there is nothing solid to prove this yet.
