Russian President Putin Bans Canadian Liberal Prime Minister Justin Trudeau from Russia

As war rages on between Russia and Ukraine, both sides have been fighting both physically and economically as Russia has unleashed new sanctions on numerous amount of high-ranking U.S. officials.

As we previously reported today, “On Tuesday, Russia announced its own sanctions against President Joe Biden, many U.S. officials, as well as Hillary Clinton and President Joe Biden’s son Hunter.

Joe Biden was at the top of the list followed by, Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, United States Secretary of Defense Lloyd James Austin III, United States Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mark Milley.

Press Secretary Jen Psaki and the president’s son Hunter Biden were also included in the list.

Now Russia seems to be ramping up its strategy even more as Russian President Vladimir Putin has banned liberal Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau, from entering Russia.

“BREAKING: Russia bans Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau from entering the country”

Some on Twitter have come out to find this quite humorous even if they disagree with the war going on in Ukraine. “America should too. And Canada.”

“Why are these two communist leaders fighting?”

“Russia has blocked Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and now they’ve banned Justin Trudeau from entering the country too. Are they trying to make us move there??”

Russia’s Foreign Ministry defended the decision in a statement citing that “official Ottawa” has instilled Russiaphobia and anger towards the Russian people. The Ministry said, “This step is forced and taken in response to the outrageous hostility of the current Canadian regime, which has tested our patience for so long. Every Russophobic attack, be it attacks on Russian diplomatic missions, airspace closures, or Ottawa’s actual severing of bilateral economic ties to the detriment of Canadian interests, will inevitably receive a decisive and not necessarily symmetrical rebuff.”

This ban of over 300 Canadians, including high-ranking government officials, comes as Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed the Canadian Parliament today and is set to also address the U.S. Congress Wednesday. It appears those who are going out of their way to stand with Zelenskyy will be punished by Putin in some way.

While most, no matter what side of the aisle they’re on, would disagree with the war going on right now, many may find it funny how Putin is taking certain actions which some see the irony in what Putin is now doing, even if they disagree agree with the invasion. While conservatives may not be fond of Putin, some could potentially see the reasons for this ban of Trudeau from Russia and his sanctions on Joe Biden, et al.
