Tammy Duckworth Unhinged at Senate Hearing: “Makes My Blood Boil… To Watch Republicans… Sink To Levels of Donald Trump”

OPINION:

Senator Tammy Duckworth (D-Illinois) blasted Senate Republicans for working with the President by holding a “Big tech” Senate hearing in attempts to hold the companies accountable for recent alleged censorship of right-wing accounts, including the President’s.

Senator Duckworth said, “it makes my blood boil and also breaks my heart a little to watch my Republicans colleagues just days before the election sink down to the levels of Donald Trump.”

The Senator criticized the Republicans for “weakening our national security and providing aid to our adversaries.”

This comes just after Hunter Biden has been caught receiving money from foreign countries, which Democrats have called, “Russian disinformation”.

She also followed that statement saying. “Facebook and Twitter utterly failed to hinder Russia’s sweeping and systemic interference in our 2016 election.”

She concluded her time by asking Jack Dorsey, Mark Zuckerberg, and Sundar Pichai to provide a personal commitment to actively remove disinformation on their sites. All three CEO’s agreed to continue to “actively remove disinformation on their sites”.

She attacked the Senate Republicans for “crying censorship” anytime they post, “Russian Disinformation”.

This comes after the President and other right-wing Twitter accounts have been censored for claims regarding mail-in ballots and COVID-19.

Earlier this morning Senator Duckworth took to Twitter to attack the President on his foreign policy with Russia.

In my opinion, there seems to be a clear difference listening to these hearings on where each party stands. The Democratic Party, which once stood for “free speech” is now calling upon the Tech giants to actively censor Republicans for what they view as “Russian Disinformation.”

Meanwhile, the Republican party is actively standing for free speech and trying to hold these tech companies accountable for alleged censorship. That being said, some Republican Senators are pushing harder than others and some don’t seem to be prepared enough to push for meaningful change, so the American people will have to continue to pressure them if they feel things need to change.

We will have to see if the Senate Republicans put a stop to “Big Tech” before they turn into “Big Brother” in our view, although the companies claim they are simply enforcing their rules fairly to both political sides. Clearly many on the right disagree, while the left appears to be advocating for even more moderation of ‘right-wing’ content.

Our previous reporting, in part shown below, shows Duckworth’s extreme left-wing bias in our view:

A Democrat Senator from Illinois is reportedly up to some dirty tricks. Tammy Duckworth made claims yesterday that she is planning to block 1,123 senior military officer’s promotions until Defense Secretary Esper gives Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman a promotion, months after he was removed from his post for alleged bias against President Trump during the ‘whistleblower’ testimony.

Duckworth believes Vindman received retaliation from President Trump and is using very unorthodox means to try and get Vindman a promotion through Trump’s own defense secretary. Her statement was as follows:

“When I showed up at basic training, it didn’t matter who I was, all that mattered was that I could shoot straight and whether I was capable of leading when it was my turn to be the platoon leader—that’s how it’s supposed to be.

Our military is supposed to be the ultimate meritocracy. It is simply unprecedented and wrong for any Commander in Chief to meddle in routine military matters at all, whether or not he has a personal vendetta against a Soldier who did his patriotic duty and told the truth—a Soldier who has been recommended for promotion by his superiors because of his performance. I won’t just sit by and let it happen, and neither should any of my colleagues. This goes far beyond any single military officer, it is about protecting a merit-based system from political corruption and unlawful retaliation.”
