Twitter Suspends MTG Again After She Called For AOC to Apologize to DeSantis, Faces Possible Permanent Ban

U.S. House Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) had her personal account suspended again today by Twitter. It is unclear how long she will be suspended this time and she could face a possible permanent ban.

Greene was last suspended in August 2021 and at the time, a Twitter spokesperson said that her account would “be in read-only mode for a week due to repeated violations of the Twitter Rules.”

This time, however, Greene’s account has no such benefit and none of her prior tweets are available for viewing. Greene’s government account remains active, however.

Just prior to her suspension, Greene called for an apology to Florida GOP Gov. Ron DeSantis from U.S. House Rep Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) for a tweet where she suggested that he was “missing.”

“@AOC have you apologized to @GovRonDeSantis yet?” Greene asked, quote tweeting AOC.

Greene explained, “He has been at his wife’s side while she is undergoing treatments for breast cancer.”

“Since you have a history of demanding apologies, it’s time for you to put down the martinis in Miami and apologize to Gov DeSantis,” Greene demanded and shared a screenshot of times that Ocasio-Cortez has called for apologies.

MAGA Rapper Chandler Crump tweeted a screenshot of Greene’s final tweet and lamented, “Marjorie Taylor Greene’s personal account has been banned from Twitter ‘Covid misinformation’? NOPE. It was AOC.”

It is unclear if that is the tweet that led to Greene’s suspension, however, as earlier she had also tweeted something that could be perceived by the tech company as “COVID misinformation.”

Greene had pushed back on a suggestion by U.S. House Rep Dan Crenshaw (R-TX), who had suggested that FEMA should be assisting with COVID testing.

“No FEMA should not set up testing sites to check for Omicron sneezes, coughs, and runny noses. And we don’t need FEMA in hospitals, they should hire back all the unvaccinated HCW they fired. Stop calling yourself conservative, you’re hurting our brand,” Greene explained.

Florida GOP State Rep Anthony Sabatini quote tweeted Greene and declared, “MTG FOR THE WIN.”
