VIDEO: Liz Wheeler Says Conservatives Need to STOP Playing by the Left’s Rules

In a Blaze TV interview with Glenn Beck, Liz Wheeler encouraged Conservatives to stop playing by the Left’s rules and in their paradigm. Wheeler believes that Conservatives should abandon talking points demonizing all Liberals or opponents and attempt to truly create a dialogue between Conservative movement activists and potentially uninformed Democratic voters.

In a Newsweek article from late May, Wheeler explained her strategy more in-depth. Wheeler believes Conservatives must stop playing “defense” and that “in order to win the culture war, conservatives must admit how much we have already lost.” She alleges that “Since the 1960s, conservatives in America have slowly relinquished to the radical left the institutions that form the moral backbone of our society: marriage and the family, the public school system, music and entertainment.” Wheeler believes Conservatives need to “longer simply whine…we must recover, reclaim and restore our culture.”

She brings up a few examples of areas where she believes Conservatives must consistently hammer against:

“Are we going to let biological men compete against women in sports, and even break women’s world records? Are we going to allow state governments to deny funding to a shelter for women and girls who were sex trafficked just because it is designated for biological women, and not for biological men who identify as women? Are we going to stay quiet while the Left weaponizes emergencies to restrict our rights and shut down our businesses? Are we going to obey anti-science public health officials who force our children to wear masks and shut down schools even though kids are more likely to die of the flu than from COVID-19 and schools are not a significant vector of transmission? Are we going to sit back while Asian Americans face college admission discrimination for being successful and the Left tells white children they are inherently racist because of the color of their skin? Are we going to stand idly by while Democrats in elected office and on cable news trample the American idea of equality for all and instead try to normalize ‘equity’—a euphemism for denying rights to certain people based on immutable characteristics like skin color, race, gender, religion, and sexuality?“

Wheeler seems to believe that if Conservatives “don’t fight if we don’t refuse to back down if we don’t play offense against the radical Leftist assault on reality, we’ll lose.” She believes the indoctrination occurring in the school system is the perfect example of this: “Look at the enormous power teachers’ unions wield after the Right surrendered the fight for public schools decades ago. Imagine if every institution in our nation were compromised at that level.”
