Lee Zeldin Breaks Silence, Officially Considers Unseating Ronna McDaniel, Official Announcement to Come December 7th

Lee Zeldin announced he is mulling over the whether or not he will unseat Ronna McDaniel for RNC Chair. Sunday he shared that he will announce his official decision at 8 am EST on December 7th.

Zeldin shared on Twitter:

“I’ve been seriously considering your requests to run for RNC Chair. I will announce my decision at 8am EST on December 7th, waiting until Wednesday to keep the focus on the Georgia runoff. If you live in Georgia, please vote for @HerschelWalker!”

Zeldin who has been a strong supporter of former President Trump recently ran for Governor of New York. Although he didn’t get enough votes to secure the position he came closer, a lot closer than pundits thought at the start of his campaign.

Shortly after his midterm loss, he started getting calls urging him to run to replace RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel. The day after she announced she would seek another term, John Brabender shared, “He [Zeldin] has received calls from around the country It’s likely that he will at least explore it. … He’s fielding calls, talking to people, listening to them, but it has not gone beyond that.”

It seems that Zeldin is leaning towards challenging McDaniel, many in the party want to see a change in leadership to someone who seems less swampy and more for the grassroots of the GOP.

We look forward to Zeldin’s announcement on December 7th.

  1. Ronna McDaniel = Romney/McConnell status quo, America-last, GOP Establishment.

  2. He voted with the Democrats to pervert the biblical institution of marriage… NO THANKS.
